Two former Jr. Whalers have committed to play college hockey next season. 

Forward Peter Vonu of Grafton Virginia, has committed to attend and play collegiate ice hockey at Connecticut College in the Fall of 2011.   Peter was with the Whalers from 06-09 helping lead the Whalers to two CHA and one MET South Championship. 

Matt Venoit, a 6-ft., left-shot forward, has officially committed to play for Penn State University for the 2011-2012 season. In November 2010 the school announced plans to elevate its hockey program to DI varsity status starting with the 2012 campaign. Matt played for the Whalers from 07-09 as part of one CHA and one Met-South Championship team.
