Radoslav Illo and Nick Schultz

Radoslav Illo

Illo was born in Slovakia. Before coming to the States, he played well in the Slovakian U-18 league, putting up impressive numbers.

After spending the 2007-2008 leading the Hampton Roads Whalers Junior Independent team, Illo signed with the Tri City Storm of the USHL.  In his rookie season at the age of 18, he finished second on the USHL Tri-City Storm in points with 21 goals and another 12 assists in 47 games.  That summer, Illo was drafted in the 5th round, 136th overall in the NHL Entry Draft by the Anaheim Ducks

The following season, Illo scored almost a point a game for Tri-City, posting 24 goals and 19 points in 50 games. He also registered 11 powerplay goals and 56 PIM. Rado was named to the 2010 USHL All-Star Game. He played for Slovakia in the 2010 World Junior Championships where he posted 2 goals and 3 assists in 6 games.

Rado committed to play college hockey at Bemidji State University.  So far this season, Illo has posted 3 goals and 1 assist in 24 games with 12 PIMS for the Beavers.

Nick Schultz

Schultz, a native of Lakewood, CA, also skated for the Hampton Roads Whalers Junior Independent team in 07-08.  A 6'1, 190 pound forward comitted to play college hockey at Lebanon Valley College.  Now in his junior season for the Flying Dutchman, Schultz has put up impressive numbers.  He currently sits second overall in team scoring with 26 goals and 12 assists for 38 points in only 20 games.  He has compiled 6 power play goals and 3 shorthanded goals to go along with 24 penalty minutes.
