Squirt B gets much needed WIN!

Squirt B beats Harford

 

The Hampton Roads Whalers Squirt B team played three games in
Maryland this past weekend against Hagerstown, Montgomery, and
Harford. The Whalers lost their first two games by a combined score of
12-2.

In the third game, the Whalers traveled to Abingdon to play the Harford
North Stars. The Whalers opened up the offense to get the 6-4 victory.
Kristian Snoots flashed his excellent offensive talents to achieve a hat
trick. Michael Fruci also buried the puck on a sweet breakaway. Ryan
Grant
and Matthew Trach each scored a tough goal by working hard
around the net. Cameron Knowlton was the key playmaker for the
Whalers by dishing out three assists. Collin Bair, Matthew Trach, Shane Brisland, and Carson Hall also had an assist a piece to contribute to the offensive explosion by the Whalers. Evan Brisland and Nick Sciavolino took away several North Star offensive opportunities to help seal the win. Dalton Buchardt stopped 23 shots seal the deal for the Whalers.

Overall, the Whalers improved with each game played. Kristian Snoots
was a monster on offense with four goals and an assist for the weekend.
Cam Knowlton had a goal and three assists to finish 2nd in scoring. Jack Felix played like a beast all weekend by taking on much larger opponents and winning battles for loose pucks. Dalton Buchardt had an outstanding 85% save percentage for the weekend with an unbelievable 96 saves in three games! Next up for the Whalers is the Blue Ridge Bears on January 22 at Chilled Ponds.
