SEJHL Takes 2 of 3 from Tampa Bay

The Hampton Roads Whalers SEJHL team took on the Tampa Bay Juniors this past weekend in a 3 game set at the Chilled Ponds.  In game one of the weekend the Whalers road a hat trick from captain Jeremy Wilson en route to a 6-3 win.  Also scoring for the Whalers was Taylor Paasch, Bryan Lewandowski, and Eric Masters.  Nate Kleinknight had 2 assists, Addison, Paasch, and Conor Foster each had 1.  Blake Scott picked up the win in net with 22 saves.

In game two, regulation ended in a 5-5 tie.  In overtime, Nathan Kanter connected for his second of the night at the 2:03 mark of overtime unassisted to give the Whalers a 6-5 win.  Mark Fortaleza picked up his first career junior goal, and Taylor Paasch, Jeremy Wilson, and Michael Addison each picked up a goal.  Kanter (2), Paasch (2), Foster (1), Wilson (1), and Haggerty (1) each picked up an assist.  Spencer Braswell picked up the win in net with 20 saves.

In game three of the weekend, Tampa Bay picked up a 3-1 win in a close game.  Taylor Paasch picked up the lone Whalers goal from Michael Addison and Jeremy Wilson.  Josh Varvil took the loss in net with 32 saves.
