2010-2011 Whaler Nation Season Kick-Off Celebration
Learn what it takes to become a team player!
Whaler Nation is proud to announce that at the conclusion of our 2010-2011 team placements, our club will have the privilege of participating in a once in a lifetime team building program sponsored by the Elite, US Navy SEALS. Each team will go through an age specific physical readiness test, a team oriented obstacle course, a SEAL taught team concept lecture, and a nutrition class presented by the SEALS certified nutritionist. This event will be followed by a cook-out back at the Chilled Ponds. Below you will find the schedule of events:
Date: Saturday, May 8th
11:00am-Arrive at the Chilled Ponds
11:15am-Depart for SEAL Training/Team Building at the Naval Special Warfare Detachment-Little Creek Naval Base.*
12:00pm-3:00pm-Age/Team Specific Training/Team Building, presented by the US NAVY SEALS.**
3:30pm-Return to Chilled Ponds
3:30pm-4:00pm-Team Specific Meetings with parents and players, to focus on Coach’s introduction to parents.
4:00pm-6:00pm-Bar-B-Que and social time. Whaler Nation will provide Hamburgers and Hot Dogs, parents are asked to provide a side dish and drinks.
*Per request of the Navy, we will need to meet and consolidate the amount of cars going into base. If you are active service and could drive, please inform Tom Winkler (374-8417).
**Per Navy request, they encourage one parent to attend with a squirt age player, as the seminars will be very informative for both this age player and parent.
*** All players need to bring workout attire and a swinsuit to the event.
All activities will be run and supervised by SEALS.
