Snyder to attend Dakota College

The Hampton Roads Whalers are proud to announce that goaltender Dylan Snyder will attend Dakota College at Bottineau and play hockey for the Lumberjacks in the fall.  Snyder, a 6'0, 170 lbs native of Arlee, MT, has been a mainstay in goal for the Whalers the past two season's.  Last season Snyder backstoped the Whalers to the MET league finals and this season lead the Whalers to an EJHL South Championship and National Tournament apperance.  Dylan finished the year with a 11-4-2 record with a 3.45 GAA and a .890 Save %.  Snyder will major in Fisheries Biology.

"We are extremely proud of Dylan", stated EJHLS assistant coach Vinny Culcasi, who also billieted Dylan.  "He is a great kid, he works very hard and is considerate of others, he will be a huge asset to Head Coach Travis Rybchinski and the Jacks program."

"It's been great playing for the Whalers organization", stated Snyder.  "Great coaches, great ownership, and good teammates to play behind, I really enjoyed my time with the Whalers"

Dakota College is located in Bottineau, ND and competes in the NJCAA.  The Lumberjacks have won a total of 8 National Championships and established a reputation as one of the best small college hockey programs in the country.
