Whalers Mistler Commits to Neumann

#22 Brady Mistler

"Brady is a National Champion, two year Whaler and among our highly regarded Captains at Whaler Nation", stated Whalers Owner Patrick Cavanagh. "He has represented himself and the green and blue with great pride, commitment and purpose. While it’s always bittersweet to see players like Brady leave, he will continue the next phase of his  journey and will always be a part of our culture and expectation for excellence, Coach Mountain improved his Hockey team and added a fine individual at Neumann University, we look forward to watching him the next 4 years." 

The Hampton Roads Jr. Whalers are proud to announce that 1999 forward Brady Mistler from Lake Stevens, WA has committed to playing college hockey in 2020 for the Neumann University Knights.

Mistler, in his 2nd season with the Whalers had a breakout season in the blue and green, putting up 54 points in 47 games on 18 goals and 36 assists, ranking him 3rd on the team in scoring.  The 2018-19 USPHL Premier National Champion skated in a total of 96 career games with the Whalers, tallying 21 goals and 45 assists for 66 career points.

“I want to say thank you to Patrick Cavanagh, Coach Gatto, Coach Rodriguez, and Coach Taylor”, stated Mistler. “Thank you to my family who has supported me through everything. Last but not least, I couldn’t have done it without the help of the boys in that locker room these past two years. I’m grateful for the opportunity given to me by Coach Mountain, and  I can’t wait to win championships as a Neumann Knight.”

“Huge congrats to Brady and his family on committing to Neumann, stated head coach Greg Gatto.  “Brady was a player I trusted in every situation and was one of our true leaders. I considered him our best all-round player. We wouldn’t have had the success we had without him. I am looking forward to following his Neumann career”.

Neumann University is located in Ashton, PA and competes in the NCAA’s division 3 United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC).

Mistler is the 8th Whaler committed from the 2019-20 season joining Daniel McGeever (New England College), Jacob Kaplan (Morrisville), Chris Mott (Morrisville), Joe DiGiulio (Neumann), Thomas McGuire (Neumann), Bobby Brouwer (UNC Wilmington), and Connall Muldoon (Western Washington).
