"Tanner had a very successful 3 years with our program and was a very important piece to the puzzle the year we won the national title", stated assistant coach Kody Rodriguez. "His hard work and dedication earned him this opportunity to be able play hockey at the collegiate level. His understanding of the team first mentality was second to none. He is a great example of what we expect here with the Whalers organization. I am very proud of his accomplishments throughout his time here with the Whalers. The sky is the limit for Tanner and I am very excited to see him compete at the collegiate level".

The Hampton Roads Jr. Whalers are proud to announce that 1999 forward Tanner Davis from Monroeville, PA has committed to playing college hockey in 2019 for the Williston State College Teton.

“I would like to thank my teammates over the past 3 years for helping me throughout my journey while providing me with memories that I’ll never forget”, stated Davis.  “I also want to thank the coaching staff for helping me grow and become not just the hockey player I am now, but the person I am as well. The Hampton Roads Whalers organization taught me what it meant to be a champion and what it takes to win.
