         The Whalers coaching staff feels that as well as being a top notch athlete, a collegeiate prospect also has to have a good academic standing.  This is why the Hampton Roads Junior Whalers have paired up with Oxford Learning Services to provide a grade "A" educaitonal package for all players. The Hampton Roads area is also in close proximity to several major universites such as Old Dominion University, Christopher Newport University, as well as Tidewater Community College.
