The Hampton Roads Whalers are proud to announce that we are forming a U16 team that will be competing in the Tier 1 AAA U16 Futures Division of the USPHL in addition to a full season CBHL AA schedule.  As members of the USPHL at the junior level, the futures division will provide our up and coming athletes the opportunity to compete against some of the best players throughout the east coast and in front scouts at two of the highest scouted USPHL showcases.

The Whalers are proud to announce Grant Campbell will be leading the charge as the Head Coach of the futures team.

Below you will find a list of programming offered to the U16 Futures:

- Full CBHL U16 AA league schedule

- 2 USPHL Tier 1 AAA Futures Showcases (Hitmen Showcase, October 9-12, 2015- Wayne, NJ) & (USPHL Winter Showcase, Jan. 7th-10th, 2016- Marlborough, MA)

- 2 Home U16 AA Tournaments

- 2 Full Ice 1 and 1/2 hour practices weekly, running August 18th, 2015- March 24th, 2016

 - 20 home ice game slots

- Weekly off-ice training w/ Bon Secours InMotion Sports Performance

- Full Access to the Whaler Nation Gym

- 6 Weeks of Comprehensive Summer Development Programming featuring:

* Brad Flynn (Corpus Christi IceRays, NAHL) & Danny Flynn (Buffalo Sabres, NHL) pre-season player development camp July 6th- 10th at Chilled Ponds.

* 2 Weeks of Summer Training w/ Jr. Whalers.  July 13th-July 17th & July 20th- July 24th.  5 days a week, 2 hours on ice, plus off-ice training.

*3 Weeks of Whaler Nation Happy Hour.  July 27th- July 30th, Aug. 3rd- Aug. 6th, Aug. 10- Aug. 13th.  Runs Monday-Thursday, 1 and 1/2 hour sessions, includes skills and Power Skating training.

Cost for the full season, which includes the team fee's for the USPHL showcases and summer development training is $4,000.
