Game 1
Frank Cundiff made 28 saves through almost 2 period of play and leading scorer Jordan Hall gave to Eagles an early 1-0 lead in the 1st period as the East Coast Eagles held the leagues top offense in check until Griffin Leach scored on the PP at 12:52 of the 2nd period from Jacob Gerson and Ryan Webber to knot things up. In the 3rd and final period Graham Winship played the game 1 hero, notching 2 goals in just under 2 minutes late in the 3rd to propel the Whalers to a 3-1 win.Kody Rodriguez picked up helpers on both goals and Craig Boyd tallied 1.
Blake Scott notched his 20th win of the season with 18 saves. The Whalers outshot the Eagles 43-19. ECE went 1 for 1 on the PP and the Whalers 1 for 4.
Game 2
The Eagles defense held the high powered Whalers offense to only 21 shots and kept them off the board en route to a 3-0 win to tie the series up 1-1 and force a deciding game 3.
Jordan Hall, Tyler Romel, and Michael Bunn all scored for East Coast.
Blake Scott stopped 25 shots in the loss. The Whalers were outshot 27-21. ECE went 0 for 1 on the PP while the Whalers were 0 for 2.
Game 3
7 different Whalers scored goals as the Whalers offense exploded in a game 3 rout of the East Coast Eagles to advance to round 2.
Oliver Lindstrom, Ryan Webber, and Jacob Gerson each converted in the opening period while Regen Cavanagh, Griffin Leach, Tanner Tinoco, and Kody Rodriguez all tallied goals in a 4 goal 2nd period as the Whalers cruised to a 7-1 win.
TJ Sneath (3), Leach (2), Nate Richards, Craig Boyd, Jacob Gerson, Rege Cavanagh, and Trevor Voelker each added assists. Blake Scott made 27 saves for his 21st victory on the season.
The Whalers outshot East Coast 47-28. Hampton finished 0 for 2 on the PP while ECE went 0 for 1.
