#17 TJ Sneath ties the game up late in the 3rd period

Potomac Goaltender Dustin Moyer did his best to carry the Patriots on Saturday night, as the Whalers outshot the Patriots 34-18, including a 20 shot barrage in the 2nd period, but a pair of Jacob Gerson goals propelled the short handed Whalers to victory.

Regen Cavanagh tallied the 3rd and final Whalers goal mid way through the 2nd period to seal the victory, and also contributed a pair of assists on both Gerson tallies.  TJ Sneath also contributed a pair of assists, and defenseman Nate Richards tallied one.

Goaltender Sean Tannenbaum racked up 16 saves to lead the team to victory.  The Whalers finished 0 for 1 on the PP, and the Patriots went 1 for 2.

On Sunday, things looked bleak for the Whalers, as the Patriots lead 3-0 after 40 minutes of play.  A furious 3rd period rally saw the Whalers tie things up 3-3 to send the game into overtime where forward Tanner Tinoco would find a streaking Dominic Moore back door for the game winner.

TJ Sneath tallied a pair of goals, and Regen Cavanagh notched another for the Whalers.  Jacob Gerson finished with 3 assists, while Alex Ouellet, Tanner Tinoco, Regen Cavanagh, and TJ Sneath each contributed one apiece.

Blake Scott picked up the win in net with 30 saves.  The PP finished 0 for 3 while Potomac went 1 for 5.
