With the pre-season in the rear-view mirror, both the Whalers Elite and Empire teams turn their attention and focus to the start of the USPHL season and the home opener September 20th and 21st against the East Coast Eagles.

As two of the top teams in the USPHL last season at both the Elite and Empire levels, the Whalers and Eagles will renew their rivalry and kick off the 2014-15 campaign at the Chilled Ponds after the Whalers Elite team eliminated the Eagles from the USPHL playoff's last season, while the Eagles Empire team knocked off the Whalers in Round 2 of the playoff's.
