The Whaler Peewee A team got their 2014-15 season started off on the right foot with three convincing wins in the July Beach Bash tournament at Chilled Ponds to earn the tournament championship banner.

The boys defeated the Carolina Lightning 6-0 late Saturday afternoon and then hung on to beat the Puck Dynasty Pirates 6-3 after allowing them back in the game when we gave up two goals late in the third.

On Sunday, the Pirates emerged as winners of the semi-final round so the boys had to face them again for the Championship.  This time they didn't allow any defensive breakdowns and after a slow start ended up winning the game 5-0. 

It's an encouraging start to the season as the boys ended with 2 shutouts and 7 different skaters earned points this weekend.  We're looking to build on this success when practices begin next month.
